When it comes to iPhone you tend to think that, the third party charger will affect your your battery health. I used to think so too. But today I want to clear out why it is okay to charge your iPhone with third party chargers.
Since the original charger and cable and adaptor is so expensive, I decided to charge my iphone 11 with third party 5 Watts adaptor and USB cable. I bought the 5 Watts adopter for only $6 (USD) while the cable cost me around $3 (USD). The original charger costs around $19 (USD) and the same is for USB cable.
5 Watts adaptor is a slow charger and it has its benefits. It’s a fact that, your battery health will be better if you charge with slow charger from iPhone to android compared to fast chargers.
In addition, the battery also lasts longer when charged with slow charger. One of my friend charges his iPhone 12 with a 18 Watt fast charger. He bought the phone a year ago. Curiously, I asked him, what his battery percentage was. He said, it was around 90%.
After watching videos after videos on YouTube, I couldn’t find one simple video on charging iPhone with third party charger.
It doesn’t matter if you charge your iPhone with original charger or other third party cable. I bought a used iPhone and it had about 97% percent battery health and after five months it still has the same battery health.
How did I maintained by battery health to 97%?
The answer to this question is simple. You have to keep your iPhone charge between 30%-80%. When your iPhone reaches 30% charge your iPhone immediately and plug out when the battery percentage reaches 80% or sometimes even more.
Moreover, Never drain your battery to 0%. It greatly affects your phone’s battery health.
