Depression is a state of mind where a person is sad most of the time and has low motivation as well as energy. The irony is that, majority of the people suffering from depression don’t even know they have depression.
They are sad all the time and have lost their courage and motivation to do even the simpler tasks.
The reason why so many people suffer from depression is due to lack of awareness.
Causes of Depression:
- Alcohol Abuse
- Drug Abuse
- Chronic Masturbation
- Chronic Stress
- Sedentary Lifestyle
Natural Solutions:
First of all, the good news is that, depression is completely curable. If you are taking antidepressants, I encourage you to stop and try the natural solutions mentioned below.
Now, let’s move on to the different types of natural solutions.
Exercise:
Exercise is the best solution to depression. While Running is the best solution other exercises like weight lifting and strength training will also do the job in the case of depression.
In the case of mild depression, even just one session of physical exercise (30 minutes) could lift you up.
However, in case of severe or clinical depression, a week of daily physical exercise will start to show huge positive effects to the depression. After 10-12 days, you will be amazed to know that your depression is gone.
“Exercise has a dramatic antidepressive effect”. “It blunts the brain’s response to physical and emotional stress.”
Yoga:
Yoga is another cure to depression. Yoga is also a great stress reliever. After 30 minutes of doing Yoga, you tend to become more happier than the state you were in before doing Yoga.
A single session of Yoga makes you calmer. While doing Yoga poses, you may feel it may not work as other dynamic physical exercises. But, believe me, you will be surprised about the power of Yoga.
Do 1 hour of Yoga, then you will be on another level.
Meditation:
Meditation is another way to cure depression. In case of meditation, it takes time. Meditation calms your mind. There are different forms of meditation but in this post, I am only going to discuss two of the best types of meditations.
- Breathing Meditation: In this meditation we simply focus on the breath. It may sound simple but when done its powerful.
- Mantra Meditation: In this meditation we focus on a mantra. You can either chant, whisper or mentally recite. Mantra meditation is more powerful than Breating Meditation.
Doing either form of meditation, you will start noticing changes in a week or even a month depending on the severity of your depression.
